Software
The PC5 uses cables to download its files to a MAC or IBM compatible computer. The PC6 can wirelessly send its word processing data to the same, although it still uses cables to send its spreadsheet and database files. For the Macintosh, we can send you MacLink/Laser, for the IBM there's a Windows file transfer program called LaserCom. You may download LaserCom by clicking on the icon below. It works for Windows 3.1 for Workgroups, and Win-95 on up. Since it's a file transfer program, you must cable your PC5/6 to the serial/COM port of your IBM compatible, and therefore must have a free COM port, meaning that it is not being electronically used by another device in your IBM compatible, like a modem. Please check the settings menu of your IBM compatible if you are unsure, or just attempt the download by selecting the various COM port settings, 1 through 4, on the LaserCom software, until you hit one that works.
